Online video platform 创作 announced a new product in its lineup today: eCDN + provides live and on-demand video streaming behind a firewall, and supports both multicast and unicast delivery. 创作 calls it an out-of-the-box solution

eCDN + works with 创作 Streaming Servers, which use Wowza streaming technology and are placed in enterprise data centers. 创作 Edge Servers, placed in remote offices or near viewers within the enterprise, connect to the Streaming Servers and stream to the end-users. The architecture greatly reduces bandwidth strains on the WAN, 创作说, and streams high-resolution, high-demand content to employees.

Based on 创作's API, eCDN + integrates with 创作's CorporateTube video portal; social business platforms including SharePoint, IBN Connections, and Jive; and 教育 platforms including Blackboard, 酒井法子, Moodle, Desire2Learn, 和帆布.

创作说 eCDN + will be a boon to IT departments, since it lowers the demands on the network. The product is designed to scale, allowing for an unlimited number of users and locations.

“创作 eCDN + helps CIOs and their IT departments support the growing consumption of media across the enterprise, while providing the highest quality streaming for live and VOD content,” says Ron Yekutiel, 创作's co-founder, 主席, 兼首席执行官.

创作 will present the new product at 创作 Connect 2014, its conference taking place in New York City June 16 to 18, 2014.
